We all care about our skin, we always want our skin to look healthy and youthful. Face it i everyone is mostly looking at as they are having a conversation with you with an exception of those looking down occasionally and those looking at your legs. Ladies, that is the truth even if we don’t talk about it much. You want to look good all the time not because someone is looking at you but because you want to feel good when you look at yourself in the mirror. You know what they say “when you look good you feel good”.

You may tell me that you don’t have time to take care of yourself or to put on a face mask. You are too busy and beauty supplies cost can add up especially organic products. I agree with you and that is why I am going to show that you do not need to spend extra money or time. Personally I think it is simple math. To save time you need to do 2 things at the same time. So here it is every time you are in the kitchen you can make a face mask.

Breakfast Time:
In the morning, when you go to the kitchen to make breakfast, first mix a spoon of honey and a spoon of yogurt and put the mask on your face.
Make rose tea with honey to drink and make breakfast. After you eat, wash off the mask. Do not throw away the rose petals from your tea. You can place it on your eyes for ten minutes.

Lunch Time:
Before you make salad make any of these masks and wash your face when you are done making salad:
  • Cut a piece of cucumber or use cucumber peel to massage your skin. Cucumber hydrates and firms the skin.
  • When you mash potatoes take one tablespoon, one spoon of honey and add fresh tomato juice and mix well. This mask will lighten and brighten the skin.
  • When you peel the potato, rub a piece on your face. Potato is anti-aging, will exfoliate the skin and it will help with dark circles under the eyes.
  • Mix potato juice, honey and lemon juice on your face for 15 minutes while you are cooking.
Fruit Masks:
Most of the fruit you eat daily you can use as a face mask. If you eat strawberry, orange, banana, blueberry, watermelon, cantaloupe, tomato, kiwi, etc.
Make it a habit to cut the first piece for your mask. Mix it with honey or place it directly on your face. Here are some examples of fruit mask:
  • Mash a strawberry with a spoon of honey. This mask will lighten the skin and fight acne.
  • Massage your face with a thin slice of watermelon.
  • Do not throw away the rind. Slice it into thin slices and rub it on your face. Watermelon will give you smooth and glowing skin.
  • If you have oily skin, try yogurt and a watermelon juice mask.
  • Make watermelon toner. So refreshing in summer time.
  • Massage your face with a piece of cantaloupe. Cantaloupe is full of rejuvenating skin properties and vitamins. It is also hydrating.
  • Massage your face with a blueberry or two and rinse after 10 minutes. Blueberries are full of antioxidants which may decrease signs of aging.

Used in Anti-aging Face Cream:

  • Turmeric is used in most of face lotions so try to add yogurt, honey and turmeric mix well and use it 3 times per week. You can use powder used for cooking but make sure no coloring is added

Aloe is used for face and body.

You can make your own antibacterial spray. Add 1/2 oz of Aloe Vera to 1 1/2 of purified water in a bottle.  Add a drop of your favorite essential oil. Be careful to not get it in your eyes when as you spray it on your face.

Don’t forget to put on your face mask before you cook or shower. Use what you have in your kitchen. When you take care of your skin your friends will start to ask you what you are using for your skin. Do tell them your secret. Take advantage of everything you are cooking. A small piece can go a long way. We start aging the day we are born so show your kids how to take care of their skin at a young age so they can develop good habits of loving themselves and feeling beautiful. They will thank you one day as they get older and become more mature. It is a good way to spend time with them and have girls time.
